Mental Health Month

Each year, organizations across the country plan events and activities to help raise awareness about mental health issues. The following events have been planned for 2008:

  • Mental Health Month Kick-off at the State House

  • Briggs Student Art Exhibits
    Month of May
    Washington Trust Company branches located at:
    236 Centerville Road in Warwick
    1203 Oaklawn Avenue in Cranston
    Drop in to see some wonderful art created by K-12th grade students from the Eleanor Briggs School.
  • Art Supply Collection for Briggs School
    Month of May
    Starbucks, East Greenwich
    Grab a coffee and drop off paints, markers, crayons, paper, clay, yarn — anything you can think of to inspire young artists.
  • Stress Assessments
    May 3, 2008
    11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    Warwick Mall
    Take this opporutunity to speak with a mental health professional about ways to manage the stress in your life. You’ll receive a stress ball and be entered in a drawing to win a spa gift certificate.
