Funding Sources
The Kent Center™ is a private, non-profit charitable corporation, exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the IRS Code. Funding is received from a combination of government sources, private foundations, program income, United Way donations, special events, and contributions from individuals. Donations are always welcome.
Unrestricted cash donations and profits from fund raising activities are eligible to receive a matching contribution from the Rhode Island Department of Mental Health, Retardation and Hospitals.
Two Ways To Donate
There are two ways to donate to The Kent Center:
- Complete our printer-friendly form and mail it along with your check to the address provided on the form.
- Contribute through the United Way web site, being sure to direct your gift to The Kent Center using code #3160.
Tax Benefits
Donations made to The Kent Center may qualify as deductible, charitable contributions. Individual donors should consult with their tax advisor to make this determination.
